Dorado Cares Makes the New Family Center Possible
A $450,000 donation to transform the hospital experience for children and their families.
Dorado Cares has committed $450,000 to Fundación Hospital Pediátrico for the development and operation of the new Family Center at Hospital Pediátrico Universitario Dr. Antonio Ortiz. This contribution will fund the construction and operation of the new space.
A Space Created for Families
The Family Center was designed to address the practical and emotional needs that arise when a child requires hospitalization. It will provide a supportive space within the hospital where families can access essential items, food, and psychosocial support services.
The Center will also feature technology equipment, charging stations, digital entertainment, and activities focused on caregiver well-being, including relaxation, art, music, and mindfulness activities. It will open its doors in December 2026 and serve more than 500 families each year.
Dorado Cares and Fundación Hospital Pediátrico share a common vision: to transform the pediatric hospital experience by creating an environment that cares not only for the child, but also for the family by their side.
